Here is a real quick poll. I understand that the Democratic leadership is beginning a push to change our nation's minimum wage to $15.00 from it's current level of $7.25. If you recall, former President Obama was pushing $10.10 per hour. Okay... first my thoughts and then the poll as promised.
$15.00 per hour is moving in the right direction but I still don't think it's enough especially in parts of the country where the cost of living is exorbitantly high such as the DMV (District of Columbia/Maryland/Virginia), California or New York, for instance.
To come closer to matching the levels of what it costs to live in the United States in 2017, the actual minimum wage should be closer to $20 per hour.
Now the poll... how many of you could live on $15 per hour? Please explain your response and be civil. Thanks.
